Adopt a Akita

Akita Dog

Athena the Dog needs a home

Athena was turned over to a local shelter because she had entropion in one eye.  ARMAC had surgery done to correct this.  She supposedly lived with children.  She has been okay with the kids in the neighborhood but not really interested.  She mostly ignores the household kitties.  She has had no training, no boundaries.  We are working on that.  She is very food motivated, very sweet, and has walked well with one of our males.  She has not been loose in the yard with him. She met another Akita and seemed interested in him, but not in a bad way.  She is currently being walked on a halti.  Once she does her business and settes into her walks, she does fairly well on lead.  She loves her toys and is not generally destructive with them. Athrna is afraid of fireworks
